Multi-Room Audio

Cabling during ceiling construction

The clients were doing a refurbishment and significant rear extension of a 1930’s detached house.  They wanted to have multi-room audio via Sonos Amps and Sonance in-ceiling speakers for both ambient, background music and the ability to turn it up and enjoy top quality audio throughout the house.

The budget on the whole build was already tight so I recommended that I install the speaker cabling to all the desired rooms while the major construction work was happening.  This made it possible to get the four in-ceiling speakers for the kitchen-diner installed as a priority and within budget without missing out on the ability to expand the system at a later date.  The client can now add the additional speakers and amplification room-by-room as the budget allows.

This was a great way to spread the cost to the post-build phase of the project.
