Full Automation

The clients were doing a full refurbishment and rear extension of a 1950’s semi-detached house.  They wanted a single app to control heating, blinds in the lounge and master bedroom and music through Sonos.  Externally, they wanted garage door control and CCTV security at the front of the house, also controlled from a single app.

The clients wake up in the morning to the blinds gradually opening to let in sunlight - natures alarm clock!  Music plays quietly in the background.  Coming down to breakfast, the house is the perfect temperature no matter the time of year and the music continues playing downstairs.  The lounge blinds are already open having been set to open at a specific time in the morning.  After breakfast, the clients take their bikes out from that garage to head out for the day with their young children.  An alert on their phone lets them know that they have left the garage door open so they close it from within the app, which confirms that it was closed successfully.  They quickly check the CCTV to make sure no one has been in the garage while it was open.

On returning from their day out, they open the garage door as they arrive home.  The heating is,  at a comfortable temperature in time for their arrival, having been lowered to save energy while they were out. As dusk falls, the blinds in the lounge slowly close ready for the evening.

This project showcases just some of the comfort, convenience and security that is possible with a fully controlled and professionally integrated home.
